Dear Reader,
Welcome to Petals & Letters, a blog, which encompasses two favorites of mine: flowers and writing letters. (Hence, “Petals & Letters”, but more on that later).
My hope and prayer for this blog is that it will meet you with joy, peace, and love wherever you are at in life :)
My name is Eileen and I am so glad to be writing this for you right now. This has been something I have dreamed of for a little while now and I am so excited that the Lord has blessed me with the inspiration and encouragement to just go forth with Him.
Now, I won’t lie to you, I am in a season of wilderness right now and waiting on the Lord, so don’t let this fool you if you are going through something too. I see you and I hear you.
Aside from writing being one of my favorite things, my waiting upon the Lord and wilderness season is actually the reason why I desire to write currently. I have found that there are so many things He is teaching me and impressing upon me that I can’t help but feel the need to write them all down so I don’t forget. I know, doesn’t that sound crazy? How can I be in a wilderness season feeling like I am waiting on God to move, yet simultaneously, He is doing so much that I can barely keep up with remembering all of it and thanking Him for it?
Maybe it is because we get so focused on the one thing God isn’t doing, the one prayer He isn’t answering, so we feel like He is silent. Or maybe it is because there are so many bad things going on in our lives, the enemy’s attack is so persistent, that it feels like we are looking through a magnifying glass just to see God.
Isaiah 41:10 says, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous hand.”
God promises that He is with us and will never leave us or forsake us, in fact, He will strengthen us and uphold us. Even though we may not feel like He is speaking, we may not feel like He is answering, we may not feel like He is moving, but He PROMISES He is with us, and God is incapable of lying. Take heart in knowing that whatever you are going through, God is with you in it.
The Lord has encouraged me to seek Him, long for Him, and dwell in Him during this season and I believe He will do so within you too. So when the time comes that you find yourself in a wilderness or if you are in one right now, like me, my hope and prayer for you is that you will come to see and know His faithfulness, despite your circumstances, and be able to shout from the rooftops “God is good all the time!”.
I would be delighted to go on this journey with you and the Lord. We are in this together!
If you wish to send me a letter, just go to the Contact Page and write on! I can’t wait to hear from you!
Much love,
Miss Eileen xoxo
